MY VISIT TO RIO ~ BRAZIL IS THE PLACE TO SEE!

I just came back from a really neat place - Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. This will be the home for the next summer Olympics and I can see why! It is absolutely gorgeous! The mountains, rain forest and beautiful beaches just take your breath away!

Racing in Rio The highlights of the trip were seeing Corcovado, Sugar Loaf, the food, the beaches and visiting this fantastic gem shop! There is so much to do and see. You need at least a week to really be able to do a lot.

I had heard how dangerous the city was but found it to be no more dangerous than any other large city. We used driver's and had a great experience. They knew how to get us where we needed to be and gave us some wonderful tours.

I was able to run in a local race by chance too! It was really neat being able to run through the city streets without any traffic! The views while running were incredible!

If you ever get the chance, go and visit Rio! I thought the people were very gracious and friendly and the shopping is fantastic! A very memorable trip.
