OFF TO COLLEGE! It is that time of year when kids leave for college. This is my nephew Carter and tomorrow is a big day as he moves into his dorm. He will attending the University of Houston and will be in the marching band. He of course is really excited to begin this new chapter in his life.
I had fun putting together a basket of things I think he will need. He was looking at the items with much curiosity not sure of why Aunt Paula put these things together. I being the mom/aunt that I am was thinking very practically.
Advil, Neosporin, Bandaids, Pepto Bismol, cough drops, a hammer, munchies, gum, lip balm, and the random Flarp. (Flarp - the cool stuff you stick your fingers in and it makes cool noises!) Yes, I reverted on that one but couldn't resist. He will thank me the first time he needs something from the drug store in the middle of the night!
It is great to see our kids growing up as well as our extended family members. Carter - you have a great time at college but remember - NOT TOO MUCH FUN! :)
